Nylon manufacturing process

Adipinsäuzre, hexamethylenediamine, and water are combined in a reaction vessel to commonly known as "nylon salt solution" form of hexamethylenediamine adipate. After evaporation, the water is still removed from the salt solution. A slurry mixture consisting of TiO 2 pigments and water, which is used to deluster fibers, is then added to the nylon salt. Then, the polymerization starts in the reactor where polyhexamethylene adipamide (nylon 6.6) is produced. The nylon polymer is then extruded through a spinneret or pelletized.
